i missed my boys!!! CU Parents Weekend!

this weekend was Parent’s Weekend at CU! last year my family couldn’t make it out, so i was ecstatic when my dad told me that he was coming, along with Braxton and Bennett!!! it is so weird to think that my mom is the only girl in the house, now that Dante is at Marquette!
the boys flew in on Friday afternoon. i had Italian from 1-2 so they went to the bookstore to get decked out in CU apparel. after class and the gym, i headed over the UMC (where the student bookstore is) to meet up with them! both of the boys are so big!! and it was so good to see my dad!
i took the boys on a mini tour of the campus (i had to show off the new art building, my home away from home). then we headed over to theta so they could see where i live!
for dinner we went to Cosmos Pizza. one slice is bigger than my entire face, and i figured a slice a person would be fine. but noooo! my dad insisted that we order the extra-large 24” pizza, half pepperoni, half hawaiian, with 3 spicy ranch! i tried to convince him that there was noooo way that we were going to finish it. sadly, we did!
after dinner, we headed down to Pearl St. to watch the parade/rally for the CU game. i had never been (sad, this is my 3rd year and i havent been once!) but the marching band plays and the football players lead them up the street and pass out footballs to all the kids. i think the boys enjoyed it! it definitely got them pumped up for the game on Saturday!
on Saturday we headed over to my high school friends house (Nolan and Trevor) for a pregame. there was tons of food and of course beer! Braxton was convinced he was going college “research”, so he was really soaking everything in. Bennett was a little preoccupied with the PS3 that was in Nolan’s room!
around 4:30 we headed over to the stadium so that Bennett could watch Ralphie (our live buffalo mascot) run the field! unfortunately we lost to Baylor in the 4th quarter.
after the game my dad and I went sake bombing with 30 friends/parents. it was soo much fun! we all wore special head bands that my friend Patrice’s mom made for us! we sang karaoke and bombed until they had to kick us out of the restaurant!
on Sunday we went to church and had brunch at the Corner Bar at the Hotel Boulderado. it was sooo good! my aunt kappa and uncle gary were able to join us! it was such a fun weekend and it definitely helped cure some of the homesickness!

thanks for such a great weekend boys! xoxo
more pictures to come!

max little comes to boulder!

max little came to visit boulder last weekend! it was soo good to see him (after 2+ months!). he stayed with his friend Eric, who plays football at CU! and his friend Kevin came out also!
i think we (every girl in the Theta haah…I think meeting 80+ girls was somewhat overwhelming) showed them a good time!
we got to spend saturday afternoon together which was fun, since there wasn’t a home game! i showed him around the campus (the weather was sooo nice) and we hung out on Farrand Field for a little bit. then i took him to Cosmos Pizza (soooo good). they are knowwwn for their spicy ranch dipping sauce. max doesn’t prefer spicy, but i wasnt letting him leave until he tried it…and what do you know, he liked it!
it was too short of a trip, but thanksgiving will be here sooner than i know it!
max on farrand field!

DOL.Haus Designs

DOL.Haus Designs has only begun!
Last year I crocheted my roommate Molly a scarf for the cold winters in Boulder. She always got tons of compliments on it and when I wore it in some of the stores around town I was frequently stopped and asked where I got my scarf!
After having “the plague” (not really) for 2+ weeks I was starting to get a little bored. So, I went to JoAnns and went crazy in the yarn section. I decided to start a smallll business!
I am sticking to neutral colors, because they are my obsession (except for lavender, my favorite color)! All of the scarves are circle scarves (they are connected at both ends) and they can be wrapped around your neck once, twice, even three times! hahah They are suuuuper warm and great for snowy, cold weather! I also just started making headbands, i guess you could call them, to keep your ears warm.
The pricing on the scarves ranges from $30-$45 depending on length and the yarn. The headbands, which are becoming more popular that I thought, are $10! enjoy! and stay posted for more styles!
I will be taking custom orders as well in about 2 weeks!

other colors coming soon!
